Fire extinguisher training is not only essential it is required by OSHA. It is critical your employees know the right type of extinguisher as well as when and how to operate the device when one strikes.
While an extinguisher is relatively easy-to-operate, with elevated stress levels of a fire even trained individuals can panic. It is common for even veterans to make basic mistakes like forgetting to aim low or pulling the pin before use. That is why we encourage annual fire extinguisher training for all safety personnel. By utilizing hands on training, course work and skills assessments you can help your employees be more confident in the high stress environment of a fire.
