Monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspections
Monthly extinguishers inspections are often defined as a “quick-check”. With Safety Works - Fire you can expect the following on your monthly inspections:
- Extinguisher cleaned and re-hung
- Extinguisher is in the proper location
- Extinguisher is free from obstruction
- Pressure gauge is in the correct placement
- Instructions and nameplate are legible
- Safety and tamper seals are not broken
- Weighing of the extinguisher
- Inspecting for damage, leakage, corrosion, rusting or clogging of the nozzle.
Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspections
Annual extinguishers inspections is a requirement of NFPA 10 and it must be done by a certified professional. With Safety Works – Fire we have you covered… you can expect the following on your annual inspections:
- Visually inspect the fire extinguisher
- Inspection of hydrostatic and maintenance date
- Confirm extinguisher is full
- Remove and replace safety and tamper seal
- Check the hose for continuity
- Inspection of all labels

- Digital and written documentation
